Born in New York, Alexander has forty years experience in the interior design industry, having had offices in New York, Los Angeles and Dallas.  In his fine art career which he has practiced for over twenty years, he utilizes a variety of media including encaustic and acrylic painting, printmaking, figurative drawing and collage, all of which inform his uniquely theatrical style.

I love the human figure. Whether using collage, pastels, monoprints, charcoal, or a variety of other media - my work is an exploration into the mutability of the figure. Texture, line, color - the pieces begin to tell a story, with the human form central to those stories, with all their brash, theatrical and dramatic characters exposed for the viewer to interpret.
